Just here...

Well, I am just here today. Lounging around the house feeling a little sick. Josh had to go back to work today so I am missing him a lot. I can't wait for him to get home and we can relax together. Anyway...just wanted to let everyone know that we are doing fine, just waiting for our little Miss Ella to arrive. I hope to send out birth announcements so please e-mail me your mailing address at shannon_gilreath@yahoo.com. Thank you to everyone for keeping up with us on this blog, it means the world to us to know that we have so many people who care. Love and BIG Hugs to all!

37 weeks

Here we are, 37 weeks. As you can see Ella is taking her toll. LOL! It is getting harder and harder to get up, walk, well......to do pretty much anything. :) Josh has to help me out of the bath tub, funny sight, let me tell you. Anyway...we have another appointment on the 12th of August and then on the 20th of August. Her due date is the 21st of August so we are just waiting to see her pretty little face. We hope that family and friends are doing well and send hugs and kisses! I will post again soon.

Updates

Just a few updates. On wednesday of this last week I went to Labor and Delivery to get my back looked at because I pinched my sciatic nerve and could hardly walk. Just as a precaution they decided to monitor me and Ella. Well it turns out that I was contracting. The tested me and said I had a little bit of an infection and sent me home on bed rest for a couple of days on muscle relaxers and an antibiotic. Ella was moving and shaking and her heartbeat was strong and they checked my cervix and it was still strong and in place. I feel alot better now and have to be away from work all week. I have my 36 week appointment on monday the 27th. I will ask if I can go back to work then. Anyway...I am taking this time to get some of Ella's paperwork started and to make sure that I am completely ready. Also I wanted to update the blog so ya'll can see what has been going on. Nothing really exciting, but I have been able to add a few things to the house. Here are some pictures. Love and Hugs to all!!! :)

Here is a picture of "Ella's" wall. It is the wall outside her room where I will put alot of pictures of her and the family.
Packed and ready to go, just in case! ;) I have two bags, one for Josh and one for me.
Ella's room is finally complete, we got in the comforter and the bumper last week. Here is a final picture of her crib, just patiently waiting for her to arrive.
Collage in the living room. Wedding pictures and soon to be family pictures.
Finally, Ella Ann Gilreath at 35+ weeks. 33 days until her due date. Josh and I made a plan just in case he is not here when she decides to come. I will call him, if I can't reach him I will call my good friend Sabrina and she will come get me while she calls her husband Brooks who shares an office with Josh. If he can't get a hold of Josh then the list continues! LOL! Confusing, but better to have a plan than none at all! ;)
Well, that is all for now. Just sitting at the house relaxing and keeping my feet up! I hope that all is well in ya'lls neck of the woods.
Lots of love from Josh, Shannon, and Ella Ann!

4th of July

Well, Josh had to leave for the week because of work and so the 4th of July became a girls weekend with my new friend Sabrina. We have had lots and lots of fun. We work together so we volunteered to work for a couple of hours at the 4th of July celebration on base. When we got off we got a smoothie and sat on the grass to watch the fireworks. We also got together for a mini-bbq before we went. All in all it has been a great weekend. We are having dinner again tonight and hopefully we will continue a tradition of the last two weeks and go to the movies on tuesday, just us girls cause both of our husbands had to work together. I am so glad that I have finally found a friend that I can relate to. Here are some pictures of our weekend.
Before Josh left he suprised me at work with flowers and a change of clothes, then he took me out to dinner. Isn't he the greatest!!! ;)
Sabrina has two dogs and a cat named velma. When I came over before the celebration, velma fell in love with my tennessee bag. Here she is rolling around.
Me and Sabrina "working". :) We worked the sumo booth for a little bit and Sabrina decided to try it so people would see that it was fun, I got it all on film! LOL!
Sabrina +400lbs SUMO!!! :)
Ready to rumble!!!
The base put on a 40 minute Fire Works Show. It was amazing, but really really loud.

Randomness...

I know that it has been a while, but between work, baby room, and just livin, there never seems to be enough time. I am 33 weeks and the countdown continues. Josh and I are so excited and ready to see our little girl Ella Ann. Here are a few random pictures from the last couple of weeks. Hope that everyone is doing well and have a safe and happy 4th of July!

My belly at 33 weeks, yes...those are stretch marks! We tried, but I guess it was bound to happen! LOL!!!

Well, I held out till 8 months, but now I am experiencing tons of swelling! Here are my feet and my toes which I like to refer to as vienna sausages! LOL! Josh helps by rubbing them whenever I need it! He is amazing!
I caught him!!! Yes, he cooks! After a long day at work he told me to sit and relax and he made Jumbalaya! Yummy!
And finally, the side belly shot! Here I am at 33 weeks.
